Hair Schedule: discover what it is and how to create yours

The most effective process to care for your hair, preventing and restoring hair health through nutrition, hydration and reconstruction

What is the hair care schedule?

The Hair Schedule is a care routine that combines three types of treatment: hydration, nutrition and reconstruction. In hydration, the objective is to return lost water to the hair. The nutrition phase serves to replace lipids, while reconstruction is the stage responsible for replacing mass in the hair fiber.

How it works?

The order of treatments varies according to the need and level of damage to your hair.

The schedule is a tool that allows you to create a personalized hair treatment plan.

How to create my hair care schedule?

As a general rule, the order is: hydration/nutrition/reconstruction, but everything will depend on the needs of your hair. The hair treatment plan will be carried out 3 days a week, ideally with a 48-hour break between each step. For example: if you wash your hair on Monday, the next wash will be on Wednesday, then on Friday.

How to start

Take the porosity test

Before you start buying products and undergoing treatments, it is important to understand how to know what your hair needs in the hair calendar.

Dryness is easy to identify: the hair becomes dull, motionless and rough when touched. In this case, there is a need for hydration.

For hair with strands that are very frizzy and tangle, it is likely that the strand will need to replace lipids through nutrition.

In cases where the hair has recently undergone chemical procedures that have left the strands fragile and porous, it is better to opt for reconstruction.

Another way to analyze this is through the POROSITY TEST, an easy and quick method of understanding the health of the hair. The step by step is very simple: Take a transparent glass and fill it with filtered water. Then, run your hand through your hair to catch any loose strands. Place the thread inside the glass of water and wait 3 minutes.

1 - On the surface

The thread floating on the surface of the glass means it needs hydration . Therefore, you need to intensify the use of the hydration treatment during the schedule.

2 - In the middle of the glass

This means that your hair has medium porosity: it is hydrated, but needs more nutrition . Try to use oil treatments in your formulas, which are essential when it comes to nourishing the fibers.

3 - At the bottom

If the strand has completely sunk, your hair has high porosity, meaning it needs reconstruction. Your cuticles (outer part of the hair) are open and damaged, but using powerful treatments can help restore them. In this case, it is important to remember that the ideal is to carry out reconstruction every 15 or 30 days, and always after hydration and nutrition.

What are the benefits of the hair schedule?

Following this schedule is the best way to include essential treatments in your hair care routine – and without leaving home. Following them exactly results in much healthier locks, as they will have all the nutrients they need.

And the coolest thing is that, over time, you get to know your hair better and identify your main needs.

How many times a week do the hair schedule?

There are three days a week, but the order of treatments will depend on the level of damage to your
hair. The important thing is that there is an interval of at least 48 hours between each treatment.

What is the difference between nutrition and moisturizing?

As much as they are similar, there are some particularities. The nutrition process consists
in using masks based on ingredients such as vegetable oils to make the
lipid replacement in the strands.

In the case of moisturizing, these oils (coconut oil) are applied directly to the hair, strand by strand, to
treat it. This procedure can even be done at night,
while you sleep: this is called nocturnal wetting.

How long should the hair schedule last?

The hair schedule is based on four-week cycles that cover all stages. The idea is that, throughout the treatments, you will notice much healthier hair,
but everything will depend on the level of damage to the thread for the effects of the protocol to begin to be noticed.

What to do after the hair schedule?

Just because you've been using powerful treatments on your hair for a long time doesn't mean they should be abandoned. The hair routine should continue, but not necessarily with the full hair calendar. You can reduce the frequency of using masks,
for example, if you feel that they have already recovered.

And of course, continue using shampoos and conditioners specific to your hair type, detangle in a healthy way and use styling cream.

How long does it take for the hair schedule to take effect?

The results of the hair schedule can begin to be noticed after the first week of treatment. The hair may become softer, aligned, shiny and hydrated. Even the day after the steps, you can notice the effect of each treatment on your hair.

How often should I do the hair schedule?

There are those who do the treatments without breaks because their hair doesn't feel heavy, while others prefer to reduce the frequency after a while or even
suspend them for about a month.

However, at some times of the year you may feel a greater need to follow a hair schedule, like at the end of summer, for example. It can be your best friend in recovering hair damaged by the sun, sea and
pool.

The ideal is to evaluate the condition of your hair after the end of a monthly cycle of the hair schedule and, of course, talk to your trusted hairdresser.
to fit and adapt the best care into your routine.

How often can I nourish my hair? And reconstruction?

This answer will vary depending on your hair needs. If your hair needs hydration, you will do 4 treatments during the month. If you thirst for nourishment,
It is necessary to carry out 7 monthly meals.

And, if they are very damaged and need reconstruction, 4 nourishments will be carried out throughout the month.

The frequency of reconstruction works as follows: if the focus of your treatment is hydration or nutrition, 1 reconstruction will be done per month. But, if the objective is reconstruction, 2 months will be needed.

Attention: this is a
treatment that cannot be repeated in an interval shorter than 15 days, as
can leave the wires stiff.
